Hello everyone. This is my second post on this blog, and this one is for my final exam assigment, led by lecturer Mr. Drs. Masyhur,M. Ed.
THE PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS
Professional teachers are teachers who have certain components in
accordance with the requirements demanded by the teaching profession.
Professional teachers always master the material or subject matter that will be
taught in teaching and learning interactions, as well as constantly developing
capabilities in a sustainable manner, both in terms of the knowledge they have
and their experiences. While teacher professionalism is the ability of teachers
to carry out their main tasks as educators and instructors including the
ability to plan, carry out, and carry out learning evaluations
Professional teachers are the hope of all of us, because with the increase in the ability of teachers to become professional teachers it is expected that the quality of education in Indonesia will increase. Students need to be educated and nurtured by professional teachers so that the quality / quality produced will be more maximal
Professional teachers should have four teacher competencies set out in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, namely, pedagogic, personality, professional and social competencies. Therefore, besides being skilled in teaching, a teacher also has extensive knowledge, wisdom, and can socialize well. We also want to be professional teachers, but many criteria must be met to become professional teachers
The criteria include :
o Have noble character and noble character so as to be able to provide a good example to students.
o Having the ability to educate and teach students well.
o Mastering the material or subject matter that will be taught in teaching and learning interactions
o Have academic qualifications and educational background according to the field of duty.
o Mastering various educational administrations (RPP, Syllabus, Curriculum, KKM, etc.)
o Having high enthusiasm and motivation to devote knowledge to students.
o Never stop learning and developing their abilities.
o Following training and training to add insight and experience.
o Active, creative and innovative to develop learning and always up to date on information or problems that occur around.
o Mastering science and technology (computer, internet, blog, facebook, website, etc.).
o Love reading as an effort to explore and add insight.
o Never stop working (making PTK, teaching materials, articles, etc.)
o Being able to interact and socialize with parents, colleagues and the surrounding environment properly.
o Active in the activities of educational organizations (KKG, PGRI, Scouts)
o Having an attitude of love, sincerity and sincerity in teaching
In addition, efforts to increase teacher professionalism that have been taken by
the government or educational institutions are as follows.
Taking Education at a Higher Level According to Academic Qualifications
Based on the Lecturer Teacher Law that teachers to obtain professional competence must go through professional education and teachers are also required to have a minimum S-1 or D4 academic qualification.
Today, the world of education and the education system is increasing. It is hoped that by continuing the level of education the teacher is able to increase his knowledge and obtain new information in education and be able to know the development of the science of education.
Through the Teacher Certification Program
One effort to improve teacher professionalism is through certification where certification is reflected in the existence of a fit and proper test that must be lived by someone, against criteria that have been ideally set. This certification program is able to foster the spirit of teachers to improve themselves, improve the quality of science, and professionalism in the world of education.
Providing Training and Training for Teachers
Training and training is one of the coaching techniques to add insight or knowledge of the teacher. Training and training activities need to be carried out by teachers with follow-up efforts to implement the results of training and training.
Teacher Reading Movement (G2M)
In addition to students, teachers must also be diligent in reading in order to add insight. The attitude of teachers who are diligent in reading this can provide a good example to students.
Through the organization of the Teacher Working Group (KKG)
The teacher working group is a forum for teacher cooperation and as a place to discuss problems related to professional abilities, namely in terms of planning, implementing and assessing student progress.

The method used to be able to improve the teacher's ability to express concepts and ideas is to write a lot. If a teacher wants to grow creativity can be done by writing. For example writing PTK, teaching materials, articles, and others.
The final component that professional teachers must have is the relationship between teachers and adults. Professional teachers must build good relationships with fellow teachers in one workplace or different.
In addition, the teacher must also continue to foster friendship with parents or guardians of students and all other community members.
In addition to the teacher's personal can be an example in the community also intended as a means for teachers to carry out their responsibilities as educators.
When the teacher builds good relations with fellow teachers, it will be the easiest way for him to discuss various matters related to the profession of his fellow teachers.
Likewise the relationship that is fostered with parents or guardians of students will facilitate teachers in the success of their students' education.It is time for all Indonesian teachers to continue to foster a good attitude (affection), master science, and present subject matter with a variety of new methods and techniques.
In addition, continuing to build and foster good relations between teachers and students, teachers with other adults, including fellow teachers, parents or guardians of students, and other community members, because being a professional teacher is a necessity in an effort to educate the life of the nation.
